Utility Technician I - III

Drinking water is one of the most important services a City provides.   Highland Village water utility division is responsible for 100 miles of water and sanitary sewer lines as well as all the treatment and pumping equipment.  As part of a work crew, you will perform semi-skilled work in the installation and maintenance of the city’s water/wastewater utility systems, lines, lift stations, and associated equipment.  With a population of about 17,000, the City of Highland Village is a vibrant, family oriented community in southern Denton County.  

The Utility Technician’s job requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid State Driver's License. 
• Obtain Class D Water License within 12 months of hire date. 
• Obtain a Class B CDL within 12 months.
• Ability to fulfill physical requirements.
